Darrera excursió de la temporada
Aquest proper diumenge dia 1 de juny durem a terme la darrera excursió d’aquesta temporada, abans que la calor començi a apretar.
La nostra idea és anar de La Vall fins a cala en Carbó, tot al terme de Ciutadella. La trobada general será a l’aparcament de la platja de LaVall i el trajecte será en bona part per dins bosc, per evitar la calor d’aquest pre-estiu.
En aquesta època podrem veure els típics rapinyaires nidificants a l’illa: Falcó pelegrí Falco peregrinus, el soter Aquila pennata, el milà Milvus milvus, el xòric Falco tinnunculus, la miloca Neophron percnopterus i fins i tot, amb un poc de sort, algun exemplar d’àquila peixatera Pandion haliaetus. A més, també tindrem l’oportunitat de veure un bon grapat d’ocells petits, sedentaris o estivals, com el menjamosques gris Muscicapa striata, de la subespècie balear, que només cria a les illes, o sentir el sempre agradable cant del rossinuol Luscinia megarhynchos, cant que anima els estius de Menorca.
Com sempre, heu de dur el dinar i beure propi de cadascú, bon calçat i si teniu prismàtics, també. Roba de bany, pels que vulguin refrescar-se en aquesta preciós racó de l’illa, desconegut per molts.
Per tant, els horaris de les trobades seran a Ciutadella a les 09:45 h. a l’aparcament del poliesportiu i piscina, i a Maó a les 09:00 h. com sempre a la colàrsega del port de Maó, on hi ha el rellotge de sol. La trobada definitiva serà a l’aparcament de la platja de La Vall a les 10:00 h. La tornada, després de dinar, sobre les 17:30 h.-18:00 h.
