Darrera jornada d’“ELS OCELLS DEL TEU POBLE” aquest dissabte al Parc des Freginal

El proper dissabte 11 de febrer al Parc des Freginal de Maó tindrà lloc la darrera
activitat prevista per la Societat Ornitològica de Menorca (SOM) a dins el programa
“Els Ocells del Teu Poble”, organitzat conjuntament amb el departament de medi
ambient de l’ajuntament de Maó. L’activitat es desenvoluparà des de les 9h fins a les
13 hores i estarà destinada, com sempre, al públic en general i als més petits en
especial.
Aquesta serà la darrera de les quatre activitats que l’entitat ornitològica ha dut a
terme als parcs Rubió i Tudurí i es Freginal de Maó al llarg d’aquesta tardor/hivern,
durant les quals, totes les persones assistents, petits i grans, han pogut gaudir i
aprendre un poc més sobre les aus que comparteixen l’espai, el nostre poble, amb
nosaltres. Una manera amena i divertida d’aprendre, conèixer i apropar-nos a un món
tan fascinant com el de les aus.
Una darrera oportunitat, com comenten els organitzadors, per veure de prop alguns
dels ocells que ens abandonaran al llarg del mes de març i que partiran cap a les seves
zones de cria al continent europeu. Aquest és el cas del coa-roja de barraca, una
espècie ben coneguda a l’illa, que rep el seu nom pel color rogenc de la coa i el seu
costum de dormir sota les porxades, terrasses o barraques de les nostres cases. També
de la titeta torrentera, una bellíssima i estilitzada au que acostuma visitar a l’hivern el
parc o dels estornells, espècie que troba aquí, al parc, un bon lloc per passar la nit
formant grans estols en aquest dormidor. I, com no, una nova oportunitat per conèixer
aus típiques del parc en aquestes dates com ara la primavera, el busqueret capnegre,
el tord negre, el ropit o l’ull de bou entre d’altres.
Amb aquesta darrera activitat finalitzarà també el concurs de dibuix d’“Els ocells del
teu poble”, on els més petits han anat mostrant les seves dots artístiques fent volar la
imaginació, el seu ocell. Podreu consultar els guanyadors del concurs de dibuix o
