INVITACIÓ A PARTICIPAR A LA CAMPANYA D’ANELLAMENT DE L’ILLA DE L’AIRE PRIMAVERA 2018
Com ja ve sent habitual en els darrers anys, la SOM (Societat Ornitològica de Menorca) organitza una campanya d’anellament durant la migració primaveral, emmarcada al projecte internacional Piccole Isole. El lloc on es durà a terme serà l’illa de l’Aire, una estació que està operativa a la primavera des de l’any 1993, encara que es manté el període mínim des de l’any 1995. Les dates de la campanya d’aquest any 2018 seran des del 26 de març fins al 15 de maig.
Aquesta campanya comptarà amb la presència permanent d’un anellador expert, que és el responsable de l’estació, dels anellaments i en resum de tota la feina que es desenvolupa al voltant d’aquesta campanya.
Com s’ha vingut fent des de l’inici del projecte, la SOM ofereix la possibilitat de participar en aquestes campanyes. La presència de voluntaris és bàsica per a poder dur a terme aquest projecte (2-3 voluntaris simultàniament com a màxim). Es prioritzarà la presencia d’anelladors o anelladors en formació per poder participar com a voluntaris en la campanya.
La manca de finançament els darrers anys fa que no es pugui oferir gratuïtament la manutenció ni tampoc els trasllats a l’illot. En concret tots els participants (anelladors locals i col•laboradors) hauran de pagar una petita quantitat per ajudar a poder fer front a les despeses de manutenció i trasllats a l’illot (també els desplaçaments per terra des de l’aeroport per exemple), encara que el tema econòmic no ha de ser un problema i ho podem parlar (estades molt llargues o altres situacions especials). D’altra banda també estarà oberta la possibilitat de fer donatius per la campanya amb l’objectiu de cobrir imprevistos.
És interessant aprofitar els trasllats previstos que seran normalment un dia per setmana. Concretament aquest anys 2018 els dies que està previst hi hagi trasllat són els següents: 26 de març, 2, 8, 16, 22 i 29 d’abril i 6, 7 i 14 de maig. Aquests trasllats són orientatius perquè poden canviar per causes meteorològiques. És important ajustar-se al màxim o preveure un o dos dies més en el cas que us traslladeu des de fora de Menorca.
A l’illa solem “viure” en una petita caseta que ens deixa autoritat portuària, allà és on fem tota la feina, dormir, cuinar, etc. (no s’entra i se surt a diari de l’illa, vivim allà). De moment no hi ha WC ni dutxes, però l’illa és prou gran per tenir intimitat. Tenim una petita placa solar i bateries que ens permeten tenir llum i carregar un telèfon mòbil, però poca cosa més. Necessitaríeu dur el bàsic, sac de dormir, llanterna frontal, calçat adient per caminar damunt roques, etc. Tot el material d’anellament i de cuina ja és a la caseta, no heu de portar res de plats, gots,…
També s’ha de destacar que la SOM no té cap tipus d’assegurança contractada, per la qual cosa cada participant es fa responsable de qualsevol accident que pugui tenir a la seva estada o trasllat.
Durant el període 1995-2017 s’han anellat més de 70.000 ocells de 114 espècies diferents i la darrera primavera de 2016 es van anellar 3.729 ocells de 61 espècies.
Es habitual capturar espècies rares com Sylvia curruca, Ficedula albicollis, o altres no tant rares però que s’anellen amb números prou interessants (Hippolais icterina, Phylloscopus sibilatrix, Emberiza hortulana,…), així com també dies de captures molt abundants (s’han arribat a capturar més de 600 ocells en una sola jornada).També podeu veure alguna memòria de resultats en la nostra WEB: www.menorcasom.org
També són interessants les poblacions d’altres espècies que nidifiquen a l’illot, especialment aus marines. Durant la campanya aprofitem la nostra estada per col•laborar en alguns dels projectes que es duen a terme actualment. També es duen a terme registres diaris dels ocells observats.
